We presently harvest a lot of composted droppings from our rabbits that we use in our garden beds. Our farm cats, small hunting-minded dog, and a perimeter fence make sure that no wild animals come into our rabbit and compost area. There are two compost piles consisting of hay raked up from the sheep or chickens, rabbit droppings old and new, spilled feed pellets, kitchen vegetable scraps, and worms. I pour water on these two areas and turn them. We take from these piles about every six months so there is enough time for these piles to mature.
