Our first Katahdin ewe was bought in 2003 from Hound River Farm. Although we gave her to our daughter when we bought our present farm, we returned to Hound River Farm to begin our sheep herd again in 2015. We are very happy with how well adjusted this hair sheep is in this hot climate. The lamb meat provides us with delicious, sweet roasts, stir-fry strips, and ground meat. We have a grinder to mix in just the right proportion of fat.
